I thought they were great at first... then it became clear they were working for the insurance company and not me. They found damage "unrelated" to the accident, i never had a problem before the accident. Because they said it was "unrelated", the insurance would not pay it. Fagen wanted a little more than twice what the dealership charged. Twice!!!
Although I had to use the trouble shooting and repair facilities 3 times in 6 months, I got quick efficient service each time, even without an appointment. Only the tire inflation after a period of very cold weather was predictable. The mechanics found the source of my other problems rather easily, so that I could conveniently have the use of my car either the same day that I drove it in, or within 24 hours.
3. We brought our Chevrolet Malibu in 30 minutes later hoping for a different result. After the oil change was complete around 12:15 PM the service department was obviously trying to close up shop (because they close at noon) and ignore the (out of nowhere) tire issue that is currently costing us north of $300 to fix. We have had no issues with our Chevrolet Malibu and now Fagan of Janesville, Wisconsin is saying it is not their fault that our tire is messed up and is offering no solution to fix the issue.
I hope this one-star review sheds some light to future customers as to lack of customer service as displayed by Fagan Automotive in Janesville, Wisconsin and their service department.
My wife and I own two GMC/ Chevrolet vehicles. We booked two back-to-back oil changes for Saturday morning December 16th, 2017. Here is a list of compiling issues:
2. After the first oil change was complete, the GMC Terrain smelled like burning oil both inside and outside of the cabin. We asked why and were told that the technicians spilt oil on the exhaust. The only fix offered was to drive 50+ miles for the smell to go away.
I would give this review 0 stars if I could. I do not recommend the service department to anyone. I took my 2015 vehicle in for a routine oil check/tire rotation where they conducted a multi-point inspection. They found an oil pan leak which they repaired under my extended warranty. Not even a week after my repair I have a coolant leak. But I didn't have this leak before they changed my oil pan or during the multipoint inspection . It wasn't documented on the multi-point inspection that there could possibly be a leak in the near future either. Everything was green status. I have already spent too much time there waiting for my vehicle and I walk away with a $600 repair when my original work was just an oil change. Just take caution when taking your vehicle here you might walk away with more problems. I know I will not be returning.
Fagan of Janesville, Wisconsin is supposed to have GMC/Chevrolet certified technicians working on your vehicle. This couldn’t be further from the truth. They have students from the local community college working on your vehicle and creating new issues that will cost you an arm and a leg - when all you wanted was a simple oil change. We will not be awarding Fagan of Janesville, Wisconsin any more of our business until the issues they created with our vehicles are resolved.
We couldn't be happier with the purchase of our Buick Cascada. Top notch customer service from Pete and superior follow through after we took ownership. We are now enjoying this beautiful fall with the top down!
1. They only offer full synthetic oil. Full synthetic oil is unnecessary in many vehicles and is an upcharge to customers only needing the synthetic blend. This unnecessary upcharge bumps the standard oil change price from $30 to $55 after taxes.
