Interesting, local Janesville history. Worth spending an afternoon and learning something, but not the most exciting experience, either.
Called on the way to the info. center. admission fees and locations were provided over the phone. Once we got there, fees doubled and we were informed that it wasn't one location, we had to pay for each building at a rate $30 vs. $5 per person. One of us stayed in the gift shop while the other used the bathroom and the staff was talking about us. We left and didn't take any tour. Not worth time, confusion, money or hassle.
Amazing place
Every tour over the years, I learned many details of our local history and the families that made up our heritage of this beautiful area of Rock County and Janesville. I have lived here my entire life and the history is alive and well with the staff and volunteers that enhance the Lincoln Tallman, and buildings that give a wealth of information to those thirsting for history.
